  • I met Carrie

    First of all as i write this i haven't slept much of have eaten in 24 hours. I have been way to excited!!! We arrived at 3:30 and I got my meet and greet papers. Little did we know the doors didn't open until 6:40. The papers told that we had to meet a certain location at 6:45. I met another girl who got the same meet and greet so we stuck together. We went around the arena and stood outside her bus for 3 hours in the cold. I couldn't even feel my toes. We heard a door shut and Carrie had been practicing inside we could here her, so I looked down cause I was the closest to the door and there she was with her body guards walking back to her bus. Her hair was shoulder length so she must wear extensions. I said Carrie and she looked at me and waved I said I have you a gift. She smiled and went onto her bus to get ready. We still waited to try to see her again but it was time to go inside. We met in the tunnel and were taken back to a dressing room to wait for Carrie. There was about 30 of us. I was toward the end so I was in the hallway and she came down the hall. We were all excited. By this time Little big town had already started to play. We finally got into the room. We were all star struck I think. I did take video and pictures even though we weren't supposed to. Then it was finally my turn. She reached her hand out to mine to shake and say nice to meet you. I said I'm Kristina, she said with a ch or K. So i gave her her gift. I said it is something for Ace her dog and her.(I got her a photo album and Ace a squeaky duck and an outfit.) She couldn't open it then, oh yeah I wrote her a book of a card to and left my number an email so who knows. I told her she was fantastic and we hugged each other and got our picture made together. I also told her I attended the idol concert and that this was my first concert to see her. She said Really. I said this is my 30th birthday gift. She said Awe. Then that was done. I was about to freak on what just happened. Then I went to my seat and listened to the rest of the opening act. Carrie came on at 8:45. It was so loud and I screamed so much. We had fabulous seats. I was 8 yards from the stage. Very close so I got a lot of good pictures and video. I went through 6 batteries and 2 memory cards. It was so awesome. It went by so fast. She did a two song encore and ended with Before he Cheats. She had us all sing with her and then the confetti blew everywhere. I couldn't hear nor talk. It was awesome. The best night of my life. I went and got me a t-shirt of course. Then that was it we headed home and got home around 1:00am. I went to bed at 2 with tears in my eyes not being able to believe that I had waited for this moment for so long and it was over so fast. But I have so many memories and pictures to last a lifetime. I just had to share this experience with you all. Now I have got to get my pics developed.

    Hey!! Y I'm doing the same thing, arriving the Friday and leaving Sunday!! I can't wait for this show!! I'm attending both shows, for the 7 o'clock one I'm in Section 7 row K, than for the 930 show I'm in Section 7 row C! What time are you arriving at roughly on the Friday? What are your plans for the Saturday?

    yeah i've seen her at the opry quite a few times.

    umm well i'd go on the grand ole opry tour too.

    I can't give out the address or anything. a lot of people have asked but I can't give it out....sorry

    Hey! It's Kristin... I was the girl you met at the concert. We hung out at her bus freezing to death! I have been trying to get ahold of you and am glad I did. I had a great time! It sounds like you did to!

    hey. thats awesome you might be going. i'm not positive what she will be in for sure this year, but the FC party is usually the tuesday before CMA Fest and she usually plays 2 shows at the opry that night. the softball game is one of my favorite parts, and its really easy to get to and just a ton of fun and she usually plays at that. then she usuallyy plays one night at LP field which is like that actual cma fest and she usually does a fanfair which is where you get to meet her.

    we do have that in common! best day of my life haha i just wished i lived in TN so i could go to the cma fest, i live too far away and its going to be forever till Carrie has a concert on the east coast, but yeah metting Carrie was amazing! :)
